It is important for you to know who you are dealing with and this is never more important than with a property survey. You need to know that both of our Surveyors are fully qualified but more importantly have a vast amount of experience meaning we are more than capable of dealing with your requirement.
Having come from a background where my father was a general foreman with the Bovis Group (now P & O), it was a natural progression for me to become a building surveyor, the training to which I commenced 35 years ago. I consider myself competent in my profession, suitably qualified and able to achieve the task in hand.
I was elected as an Associate Member of the RICS in 1981 and subsequently became a Fellow in 1991.
In the intervening period I also embarked upon a post graduate Diploma in Project Management.
Between 1974 and 1981 I worked, firstly, for a small private practice in south-east London, learning the art of conversion of existing properties, building contracts and general supervision and then at a west London practice, Hunter and Partners, in Kensington and Knightsbridge. Not only did I gain my intermediate qualifications in this period, but became experienced in project management, supervision and general control of contracts and projects.
Between 1981 and 1983 I worked for a south-east London firm, Kennedy and Partners where, as a qualified surveyor, I was the senior surveyor in the practice with six further surveyors under my management
I have been in private practice since 1983 to the present day, running my own practice initially as an individual, before it became a partnership with Paul Hill in 1988, and in more recent years a limited company to which I was a director.
During what spare time I have, I enjoy house renovation and DIY with projects in several countries, including Spain, France and Canada, as well as in England.
